Further, it states that the Mid-Atlantic region needs to invest in power generation and transmission capacity. However, if the area fails to set up such power infrastructure, it may face power outages and technical disruptions. Mid-Atlantic houses several data centers and tech companies, making it more vulnerable to AI-related issues.

Additionally, the increasing demand for AI threatens clean energy transitions. Hence, it can increase the carbon footprint in the environment.
