Packaging Manufacturer Collabs with Solar Projects to Enhance Cleantech in 2024

WestRock, a sustainability-promoting paper and packaging manufacturer, recently collaborated with ENGIE North America in 2024.

Hence, it will help to provide less carbon emissions. Therefore, WestRock will enter virtual agreements to purchase clean power from ENGIE in 2024. The company aims to purchase solar power from two solar projects to enhance cleantech in 2024. The two North American solar projects will provide renewables into the Texas energy grid. Hence, it will power the respective packaging company afterward. These solar projects, namely, the Bernard Creek and Chillingham solar projects, will contribute to this collaboration in 2024. According to survey data, Bernard aims to contribute around 282 megawatts of renewable energy to the power grid. Experts claim that Bernard solar project anticipates adding up to 50,000 megawatts of power per year. Hence, it claims to produce USD 45 million in revenue and 250 jobs in the energy sector. Thus, large-scale solar production for clean energy generation will help reduce environmental carbon footprints.
